WORSHIP FAQs
WORSHIP GATHERINGS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Updated May 19, 2021
What times will the worship gatherings be held?
We will hold two in-person worship gatherings each Sunday morning at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
Will I need to wear a face covering?
Masks are optional for all HHPC worship gatherings and ministry activities.
Do I need to RSVP to attend a worship gathering?
Beginning Sunday May 23, we will no longer require RSVP for worship gatherings. You may attend either worship gathering without making a reservation. This applies to Children’s Church and nursery as well - please plan to check your children in upon arrival Sunday morning.
Will I have an assigned seat or can I choose my seat?
Beginning Sunday, May 23, physically distanced seating is no longer required between family groups in the worship center, but will be available by request. Attendees are free to seat themselves upon arrival and ushers will be available to assist with spacing requests.
Will childcare be available?
Yes, nursery care (ages birth - preK) and children’s church (K-2nd grade) are available, as well as a Nursing Mothers' Room. RSVP is not required. Children’s check-in will take place upon arrival Sunday morning.
How will the church be cleaned between worship gatherings?
The building will be professionally cleaned each week prior to Sunday worship. In addition, our worship gatherings are scheduled to allow 45 minutes after each worship gathering for our volunteer teams to disinfect and clean the worship center and welcome center.
How will we celebrate communion?
When we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, elements will not be passed down rows and will be distributed in pre-packaged, individual servings.
Will there be an offering collection?
We will continue to present our tithe and offerings to the Lord each week as an act of worship. We invite you to use our convenient online giving portal, or use the collection boxes on campus if you prefer to give cash or checks in person.
Will coffee and cookies be served? Can I bring my own coffee?
We will not be serving coffee or cookies in order to minimize potential exposure and maintain the health of all attendees. Outside drinks are allowed, provided they are covered with a lid.
Can I participate in live worship online?
Yes. Both Sunday worship gatherings will be accessible via a livestream video feed. We encourage you to continue worshipping with us online if you are unable or simply not ready to return to in-person worship.
Will sermons still be recorded as audio files?
Yes. Each week's sermon will still be recorded, uploaded, and made available as an audio file/podcast it has been in the past. For all of HHPC's past sermons, visit hiltonheadpca.com/sermons.
