CURRENT SERMON SERIES:
SO, WE PRAY: THE LANGUAGE OF GOD’S PEOPLE
Language is always learned before it is spoken. Eugene Peterson wrote, "Language is spoken into us; we learn language only as we are spoken to...[it is the] overwhelming previousness of God's speech to our prayers." We learn the why's and how's of prayer by reading Scripture and seeing the beauty of the Lord and His amazing invitation into conversation with Him. This summer we will learn together that prayer truly is the language of God's people. Pastor Bill recommends the following books if you want to go even deeper in learning about prayer this summer.
Prayer: Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God by Tim Keller
A Praying Life: Connecting with God in a Distracted World by Paul E. Miller
The Valley of Vision: A Collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions
